About
Metis Aegis is an up-and-coming AI research lab. We study how AI systems can be made safe and well, and how that work can be done sustainably, without treating profit as the point.
We believe good values in AI are better cultivated than imposed. We think of it as a compass rather than a leash, and that idea shapes both our research and the tools we build.
Mission
In the old story, Prometheus carried fire down from the mountain so it would belong to everyone. That is our model. We don't want to be another lab that concentrates capability in a few hands. We want to spread knowledge outward, decentralized and affordable.
Wherever we can, what we make will be cheap or free. When we publish data, tools or findings, they will live here, open to anyone.
